"The Silk Route From Krakow to Japanese Archipelago"
Thank you for your interest in the Department of Japanology and Sinology. Our department welcomes every year about 20 new students and all faculty members are very happy to teach them both elementary and advanced Japanese as well as introduce all aspects of the Japanese literature and cultural tradition.
For our students it is the Japanese writing system that is probably the most challenging barrier in mastering the language but after three or four years of intensive study here they can write, read and find a real satisfaction of being able to express themselves in the way of "ishin-denshin" （「以心伝心」）while talking to Japanese visitors who come to Krakow. Everybody more seriously interested in Japan and its unique civilization may join us as our future student.
