The departmental library has now more than 8500 volumes of Japanese and
foreign books, mostly thanks to our donators such as The Japan Foundation,
Kenkyusha, Kodansha International, The Unesco Society of Gifu, Mitsui Chemical
Mission, Embassy of Japan in Poland, Publishers Association for Cultural
Change.

How to use the materials
Reading room
You use any materials on the shelves in reading room. After using, put
them to the shelf.
Check out
Only faculty members and students of the department or Institute of Oriental
Philology can check out our books. Bring the books to the librarian counter
with your library card (karta czytelnika) and fill in an order slip. A
number of encyclopedias, albums, dictionaries, and the books published
before 1945 is only for reference. Reference books and periodicals may
not be checked out.
Borrowing limits
Books - 4 vols, for 1 month (a certain number of textbooks - for 1 semester)
Book collection
Books: 9049 vols (Japanese : 2112 / Other Foreign: 6937)
Periodicals: about 700 vols (Titles: Monumenta Nipponica, Nichibunken Japan Review, Nihon Kenkyu, Nipponia, Japan Echo etc.)

To Visitors - People from outside the department and university
If you are not a student or a faculty member of the department or Institute
of Oriental Philology, use the materials only in the reading room.
