Research areas:
Her interest focused at first on the Oriental fables (especially Indian ones), as well as on topics concerning literary genres, then stretched gradually to cover other areas of Sanskrit literature and literary theory, such as the concept of a literary work and style, literary convention in the Sanskrit kavya literature. Nowadays she concentrates on research in the structure and development tendencies of the Sanskrit epic poetry (maha-kavya) while collaborating with scholars from other Indological centers. In 2005 she organized an international seminar Love and Nature in Kavya Literature (www.filg.uj.edu.pl/kavya). Her recent interest reaches also frontier areas of prose and poetry, namely the genre of campu which flourished especially during 17th and 18th c. in South India. After her last field research in India she took additional interest in living contemporary forms of Sanskrit literary traditions of South India. (see project Change and Continuation in Sanskrit Literary Traditions of South Asia) She is an author of two monographs, translations and a number of articles in academic journals. [Publikations...]
